Tiny Treasures - The Nursery Day

Sessions run from 8:15am to 3:45pm. Please ask about availability for an early start at 7:45am.

A day at Tiny Treasures will start with a member of staff meeting you and your child when dropped off each morning and spending time welcoming you both. This is an opportunity to tell us any information that may be important through the day.

Each day your child will enjoy a range of activities and learning experiences that follow the EYFS guidance. We make sure every activity is adapted so that all children can join in and feel included. This will involve individual interventions and programmes designed to give focused support. Circle times with singing and stories will also form a regular part of the routine, as opportunities for group activities that encourage social interaction and collaboration. There will be lots of opportunities for sensory play—such as messy play, sensory circuits, and other fun activities—helping children explore through touch, sound, and movement. Throughout the day, children will be supported to engage with exciting resources and equipment that make learning fun.

Children will be offered morning and afternoon snacks, including fruit and vegetable tasters to encourage them to explore new tastes and textures. At the same time, familiar “safe” options will always be available, ensuring every child has something they feel comfortable eating. Parents are asked to provide a packed lunch.

Environment

Children will enjoy a spacious playroom designed to meet early years provision requirements, alongside a large garden area that encourages outdoor play in all weathers. Additional facilities include a soft ball pool and a dedicated sensory room—calm, safe, and welcoming spaces that support both physical and sensory needs. Here, children can explore lights, textures, and sounds in a nurturing environment.

The ball pool and sensory room are available throughout the day, providing excellent opportunities for physiotherapy programmes, sensory circuits, or simply a quiet retreat when children need time to regulate, recharge, or receive extra support if they are feeling overwhelmed or overstimulated.
