Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

Tiny Treasures is a specialist setting with experienced, qualified staff ready to welcome children with a broad range of needs and disabilities. We are committed to offering a space where every child can explore, engage and thrive.

Tiny Treasures aims to foster an atmosphere of kindness, inclusion and understanding, empowering children to learn and develop at their own pace through our thoughtful approach to early childhood education. Our team adopts a calm, informed, and nurturing approach to building relationships with children, helping them feel settled, explore freely, and develop their communication skills.

Staff have experience of working with children with SEND and will work with parents and carers and professionals to ensure our provision is tailored to meet their individual needs. We work with a high adult to child ratio to ensure each child is safe and supported while in our care. Staff attend Safeguarding training and are First Aid trained. They may also have additional training specific to SEND.

Every child, every possibility.

When it comes to supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), getting the right support in place starts with identifying their primary area of need. Every child is unique, and while some may have multiple challenges, focusing on their main area of difficulty ensures they receive the right strategies and interventions. We therefore work within the SEND Code of Practice 2015.

SEND needs are grouped into four broad areas. At Tiny Treasures, we are able to support each of these areas with our kind and adaptive staff offering appropriate strategies and a calm, accessible environment.
