We are sharing the following information from Daniel Francis MP as may be relevant and helpful to you, a friend or family member: ‘I am contacting you following the Government’s decision to withdraw Winter Fuel Payments as I know there is concern about the impact of this decision. Although Pension Credit has been available for some time, a number of those eligible are not claiming it, alongside other means-tested benefits. I am therefore hosting a series of coffee and cost of living advice sessions in each ward in my constituency from November, to provide support and information to any constituents who might be entitled to pension credit, carers allowance, assistance with energy efficiency measures in their home or need cost of living advice. I would be grateful if you could share the details of these events to anyone in your network who would also benefit from receiving guidance and support. I have included an infographic that you can share on social media and a text that you can include in any newsletters or email communications you might be sending. The advice sessions will be hosted on the following dates: • Slade Green, Friday 1st November, 10:30am-12pm • West Heath, Friday 8th November, 2-4pm • Crook Log, 15th November 10am-12noon • Crayford, Friday 15th November, 2-4pm • Northumberland Heath, Saturday 16th November, 10am-12pm • Barnehurst, Date and Time to be confirmed • Bexleyheath, Date and Time to be confirmed Alongside my team and I, I will be joined by a number of local charities who will be providing support and expertise to signpost you to any help that may be available. What a wonderful day A group of young people were able to attend Woodrow hill house to complete an activity filled day thanks to funding from Go London. We have completed archery, high ropes and a challenge course all having a fantastic day. #Climbing #Highropes #GoLondon #StayHealthy
