Tiny Treasures Nursery Assessment

Careful planning, observations and staff judgements will allow every child’s individual development to be monitored and their progress recorded. Parents will receive regular updates and observations through the FAMLY app so they can stay informed about what their child is doing at Tiny Treasures. Milestones will be celebrated and shared, no matter how small.

Tracking is completed regularly and recorded against the EYFS curriculum to show progress being made and areas to be targeted for further support. These will be shared with parents and may form next steps in a child’s support plan.

The support plan is a personalised document, specific to the needs of the individual child. Following the Graduated Approach, the SENCo will create a document outlining the areas requiring targeted support. Please see the SEND section for more details.

Two Year Progress Check:

At some point between the ages of 2 and 3, staff will provide a written summary of how your child is progressing against the three prime areas of learning. This check will highlight strengths in each area, progress made and anywhere they may need some extra help or support. This links in with the checks provided by Health Visitors through the Ages and Stages Questionnaire. This document will be shared with you and a discussion will take place as to next steps, which may involve specific support being put in place and onward referrals made.
