Working with children and young people from 5 - 25 years, providing opportunities for fun, exploration, interaction and socialisation. Most offers of work will be weekday evenings, Saturdays and school holidays.

We employ staff with a range of skills and experience, who have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with disabilities. Potential recruits should have a desire to make a positive difference and provide a high standard of care.

We are looking for staff members who work well as part of a team and can use own initiative when supporting and encouraging children and young people to join in with activities, adapting them to meet individual needs.

The role includes supporting behaviour, medical, emotional, and personal care needs under the guidance of the Senior Short Breaks Team Member and Play & Youth Leader.

Bexley Snap is looking to appoint three trustees. One appointment will be for a Treasurer, with two further trustees to be appointed based on their specialist experience. This appointment would initially be for a term of up to four years, with the possibility of being extended.
The trustees meet to consider and agree grant applications, to monitor the use of grants and to agree the financial statements, amongst other business.

Meetings are held at least six times a year (January, March, May, July, September, and November) normally for an afternoon/evening at our office in the Borough of Bexley. Meetings may last between 2 and 4 hours. The trustees are expected to participate in at least one sub-group to aid in the implementation of the charity’s strategic plan.

The time commitment is approximately one day per month.
This is a voluntary unpaid position, however reasonable out of pocket expenses are paid.

No previous experience is necessary but we ask that volunteers have a genuine interest in supporting children and young people with disabilities.
