What kind of work?

As a volunteer or paid worker there are many ways you can help improve the lives of disabled children!

Enabling disabled children to grow, develop and have fun – we offer a wide range of leisure services to disabled children and young people, including youth clubs, holiday playschemes, Saturday clubs and residential weekends. We are always keen to hear from anyone that feels they have something to offer disabled children and in particular welcome young people looking to gain experience as part of their career development.

Occasionally we have staff and volunteer vacancies in our Little Stars project – a learning and play programme for pre-school disabled children and their parent/carer. This is a great opportunity to learn the value of working with a children and parents together to promote learning at home.

As a small charity, we rely on volunteers to help us support as many families as possible. Perhaps you have office and IT skills that we could use in our busy office? If you are an expert in IT, HR or law – you might consider joining our trustee board.

Please contact the office for details of volunteering or trustee opportunities.

Paid work will be advertised on the Current Vacancies page.

What really helped me was to discover that I was not alone and that there were many other parents/carers just like me, with one or more disabled children to care for.
